The new Woodcracker® CL260 cutting head from Westtech cuts trees up to 12.5 inches with ease.
Even though the swift and cost-efficient Woodcracker CL190 is still going strong, demand increased for an equally uncomplicated cutting head for an excavator next in size. Therefore the Austrian manufacturer of forestry equipment, Westtech, introduced a new bigger cutting head for forestry and landscape maintenance, the Woodcracker® CL260.
“We designed the Woodcracker CL260 to fulfill the demand of our customers for a bigger but cost-efficient cutting head for excavators between 6 and 14 tons. The new machine is compact, but cuts trees with a diameter of up to 12.5 inches in softwood,” says sales manager, Klaus Stadler. The cutting diameter in hardwood reaches up to 10 inches.

Compact and cost-efficient
The Woodcracker CL260 is lightweight with only 350kg for its cutting diameter. The model stays affordable due to an optimized use of material and smart, compact design. This means that small companies, rural farmers and foresters benefit from an appealing price-performance-ratio and an economical harvest.
Many applications
Many landscape gardeners and contractors already own the right excavator for a Woodcracker CL. It has the right cutting diameter for green care along streets and forest edges or minor thinning. The optional available cylinder slewing gear enables a tilt of 48° each side to easily cut shrubbery or crooked trees.
High-tensile steel and cataphoretic painting (KTL)
The processing quality leaves nothing to be desired. The Woodcracker is made of Hardox®-Steel which withstands high mechanical strains. The special cataphoretic painting makes the machine non-corrosive. This coating is long-lasting and therefore mainly used in the automotive industry.
